Not likely to procreate myself, I feel obligated to knit for my friends who are having babies and lately, perhaps following the wave of Hollywood stars, there seems to be a wave of babies on the way... so I bought Debbie Bliss Baby Knits for Beginners... a handy little guide of simple, quick knits. I also wanted to knit something out of cashmarino & I wish I could still wear sweaters with pink elephants, but that might be a stretch even for me.
I made the simple boatneck sweater... and then embellished with some embroidery to make it a little less boring. I only hope the yarn won't bleed... but then that won't be my problem. As a woman in her late 30's, I do have a strange feeling I should knit for babies in private... like I'm making some sort of statement of intent.
