I am close to completing the second front panel on the Rowan denim jacket I am knitting for "the man."
I read the complaints about Rowan demin -the dye comes off on your fingers as you knit and I think that must be written by knitters in humid climates. I have noticed a little dye when my hands are sweaty, but not enough to really bother me. I don't particularly like the feeling of the cotton in my hands and I'm getting bored with this project which is somewhat mindless. Already I am dreaming of other projects in something beautifully soft like cashmere or baby alpaca.
Let me just add that Rowan patterns are not the easiest to read... no matter how simple the pattern actually is... and I have a re-occurring vision of "the man" climbing under a truck in this hand knit creation with absolutely no regard for the hours I've put into it. At least felted slippers belong on the floor.
