Old Lady with Cats

I was once told, by an ex-husband on his way out the door, that I would end up an old lady, alone with my cats.   As far as prophecies go... this doesn't seem so bad to me... especially the part about the cats, and that scary "alone" word is out of our hands really.    But one could argue that having cats means you're not alone.   At  the time anyway, it seemed far better than where I was -and I had two dogs.   I still have two dogs... but have added four cats, some chickens, and one hell of a trailer companion.   AND I learned to knit... very spinsterish of me.
